March 11, 2022: Laurie Benavides and Becky Brooks joined the show this week to discuss the High Mountain Youth Project, a Ruidoso nonprofit organization for vulnerable youth, the opening of their new location at 637 Sudderth Drive, and plans to add a 24-Hour Youth Crisis Shelter with overnight care in the Fall of 2022 for area homeless youth who need a place to stay. Don’t miss the organization’s fun-filled summer fundraiser event, the 4th Annual High Mountain Great Bed Race and Chile Cookoff, in Midtown on Saturday, June 4, 2022.

March 7, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the past weekend's Blue & Gold Ruidoso Warriors fundraiser, the March 12, 13, 2022, Ruidoso Outdoor Expo at the Ruidoso Convention Center, and the agenda for Tuesday’s Council Meeting including the approval of the sewer line extension for the new Region IX location on Mechem Drive plus an agreement for services with EcoServants. Also discussed were Village employees and promotions, and resurfacing grant applications for Brady Canyon and the Upper Canyon traffic circle. Police Chief Lawrence Chavez introduced the department’s newest officer, Ryan Munoz, and the Mayor swore him in. Chief Chavez also discussed last week's police activities including a disturbance at the hospital and the arrest of two suspects in a string of home robberies and the community's assistance in their capture.

March 4, 2022: Sam Freed, Director of Marketing for Noisy Water Winery joined the show this week to discuss the business’ new Midtown location as well as the March 4 Alex Reymundo - It’s the Tequila Talking Tour. comedy show at the winery’s Enchanted Vine event barn. Also discussed was the March 13 opening of the Enchanted Vine Farmers & Crafts Market hosted every Sunday starting at 10 am. Market until 2 pm with live music starting at Noon.

February 28, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the past weekend's Republican Party of New Mexico Pre-Primary State Convention at the Ruidoso Convention Center, the 2022 Municipal Officer Elections, and the March 1 Village Council Workshop Meeting. Police Chief Chavez was in to give updates on the police activities this past week including an apparent suicide at Grindstone Lake.

Also discussed was the success THRIVE had in fundraising last year and who they were able to help with the donated funds.

February 21, 2022: Gary L Jackson, Darren Hooker, Stephen Carter and Tim Coughlin joined the show this week for a 2022 Municipal Officer Election Candidate Forum hosted by Hospital Chief Executive Todd Oberheu of Lincoln County Medical Center. Municipal Judge Candidate Frank Potter who is running unopposed was also interviewed by telephone. Forum participants introduced themselves and provided brief candidate statements and answered questions about village issues including workforce housing, water issues, police, and the search for police recruits. Later in the show, infrastructure updates were also provided for the Paradise Canyon Lateral Replacement, Midtown Light Pole Replacement, and Center Street Renovation projects.

Networking opportunities included a virtual meeting with the Governor about funding for bridge and sewer rehabilitation. Additionally, Ruidoso Police Chief Lawrence Chavez was in the studio to share an immediate need for new officers and the criteria for non-certified recruits.

Also in the studio, Water Resource Manager Eric Boyda discussed the Village water rights and municipal investments in water systems and infrastructure. Rick Hutchinson of Angus Church and Marci Butchofsky with Hope Harbor Transitional Home shared information about the upcoming event, Afternoon of Hope, at the ENMU-Ruidoso campus. Additionally, Police Chief Lawrence Chavez was in with new Officer Jimmy Lopez for his official swearing-in by Mayor Crawford. Also discussed was Officer Lopez’s background including his dive experience with installing the Wibit Water Park at Grindstone Lake.
