  • Mayor Crawford, Village Manager Ron Sena, and Public Works Director Adam Sanchez addressed listener questions about the McDaniel Bridge in Upper Canyon, outlining the challenges the Village has faced since 2008. Adam Sanchez also shared a timeline for a short-term bridge fix using parts from the Starlite and Paradise repairs, and announced road work beginning on Brady Canyon.

  • Fire Chief Cade Hall provided an update on recent flood recovery efforts, including the rescue of vehicles swept away on Sunday. He emphasized the importance of citizens respecting road blockades and announced a return to normal fire restrictions due to increased moisture.

  • Matthew Baird, Parks & Recreation Director, and David “TBone” Tetreault, Assistant Parks & Recreation Director recapped the successful All American Tailgate Party & Drone Show at White Mountain Sports Complex. Matthew also responded to a social media question about possibly extending the boat ramp at Grindstone Lake.

  • Eddie Ryan, Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships, highlighted last week’s Under a Mountain Sky concert at Wingfield Park, including a new food truck vendor, and shared news of the feature film project “Fight or Flight” featuring actress Charlotte Kirk, which wrapped filming in and around Ruidoso in June.

  • Michael Martinez, Deputy Village Manager, discussed the Village’s Recovery, Housing, and Economic Revitalization plan, which is now ready for presentation to the state.
