Eric Queller, Emergency Manager, shared how the Village is preparing for the upcoming monsoon season, including the placement of sandbags at two locations. He also provided an update on the new emergency sirens, which are expected to be delivered this week.
Fire Chief Cade Hall & Assistant Fire Chief Austin Meuli, provided updates on the Flume Canyon fire that occurred over Memorial Day weekend. They also discussed new equipment that has been recently ordered or received to support emergency response efforts.
Michael Martinez, Deputy Village Manager, answered a listener's question about the status of the Cree Meadows Golf Course and confirmed that the Village is moving forward with the purchase of a portion of its water rights. He also gave a progress report on the 603 Mechem housing project, including timelines for PNM coordination, landscaping, and road paving.
