  • Heath Dobrovolny, Deputy Village Manager & Eddie Ryan, Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships, Hosted the program, which highlighted the successful inaugural Contour Airlines commercial flight between Ruidoso and Denver and the convenience of local air service, and answered a listener question about the status of Lincoln County’s voluntary flood buyout program.

  • Michelle Gomez, Director of Finance: Introduced as the Village’s new Director of Finance.

  • Brian Portillo, Fire Marshal: Introduced as the Village’s new Fire Marshal.

  • Eric Queller, Emergency Manager: Discussed the National Preparedness Level increasing to Level 4 due to escalating wildfire activity nationwide and the growing demand for firefighting resources.   • Levi Beaty, Public Works Director: Reported that paving work in the Innsbrook area remains on schedule for completion later in the week, weather permitting. He also shared that the Village’s fire hydrant replacement project is nearly complete, with only five to six hydrants remaining.

  • Isabel Martinez, Water Resources Manager: Recognized on the program following her recent promotion to Water Resources Manager.

  • Shane Asbury, IRONMAN 70.3 Ruidoso: Previewed next weekend’s IRONMAN 70.3 Ruidoso, explaining the event’s three disciplines—a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride, and half marathon finishing near The Links. He also encouraged volunteer participation and highlighted spectator viewing opportunities throughout race weekend.

  • Matthew Baird, Parks & Recreation Director: Announced that temporary closures and parking changes will be in effect at Grindstone Lake and the White Mountain Sports Complex from Monday, July 6, through Sunday, July 12, 2026. He also promoted the All-American Tailgate at White Mountain Sports Complex on Friday July 3, concluding with a patriotic drone show at 9:00 p.m.

  • Stephanie Long, Wingfield Heritage House Curator: Shared Fourth of July trivia and historical insights as the community prepares to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

  • Police Chief Steve Minner & Deputy Chief Jason Janopolous: Discussed the Village’s new Automated Speed Enforcement program, which became operational last Friday. They reported that the cameras recorded 241 speeding violations during the first weekend, including vehicles traveling 23 mph over the speed limit on Paradise Canyon Road and 29 mph over on Junction Road. They reminded listeners that the first 30 days of the program consist of warning notices before civil citations begin.
