• Mayor Lynn Crawford & Village Manager Ron Sena (Hosts) led a wide-ranging discussion covering infrastructure progress, emergency preparedness, seasonal events, and public safety updates across the Village.

• Deputy Manager Heath Dobrovolny reviewed last week’s special council meeting, including a discussion of the Clean & Lien Program and the NRCS Disaster Buyout Program, and outlined ongoing recovery and mitigation efforts.

• Assistant Fire Chief Austin Meuli confirmed that Level II fire restrictions remain in place despite recent moisture and shared that two new fire vehicles are expected to arrive soon.

• Emergency Manager Eric Queller introduced the Village’s newly adopted outdoor warning system policy and encouraged residents to attend the upcoming Community Flood Preparedness Workshops on May 6, May 20, and June 3 at ENMU-Ruidoso.

• Public Works Director Levi Beaty and Assistant Director Josh Long reported progress on multiple road and infrastructure projects, including work in Airport West, Cree Meadows Drive, and Innsbrook, as well as improvements to the Brady Canyon/Porr Drive low-water crossing.

• Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships Eddie Ryan previewed an upcoming press conference at Sierra Blanca Regional Airport announcing new airline service from Contour and highlighted Circus Classic performances at Wingfield Park.

• Assistant Parks & Recreation Director Mark Coker and Event & Recreation Supervisor Alex Nocella shared updates on youth sports programming and recapped the success of the recent Great American Cleanup.

• Wingfield Heritage House Curator Stephanie Long discussed upcoming museum programming, including the Time Turners Book Club and Día Children’s Day/Book Day at the Convention Center this Saturday.

• Police Chief Steve Minner and Deputy Chief Jason Janopolous reinforced that Level II fire restrictions remain in effect, noting active enforcement and $500 citations for outdoor smoking, and announced an arrest in Tennessee connected to a 2024 sexual assault case.
