  • Frank Potter called in to share the weather outlook for the month of May.

  • Eric Queller, Emergency Manager, spoke about the importance of continued training for Village staff to ensure preparedness in the event of an emergency.

  • Fire Chief Cade Hall reported on a recent grease fire caused by a propane BBQ grill and gave an update on the forest fire currently active in the western part of the state.

  • Adam Sanchez, Public Works Director, provided updates on the ongoing road work at Paradise and Starlight, as well as the construction taking place at the intersection of Paradise and Warrior Drive.

  • Eddie Ryan, Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships, discussed Trump’s proposed tariffs on foreign film production and how they could potentially increase local film production in the state and around the Village.

  • Matthew Baird, Parks & Recreation Director, and David “TBone” Tetreault, Assistant Parks & Recreation Director, shared updates on the re-seeding of sports fields throughout the Village and talked about how the department manages the storage and maintenance of its tools and equipment.

  • Michael Martinez, Deputy Village Manager, talked about the more than $135 million in CDBG-DR (Disaster Recovery Grant) funds that will support long-term recovery efforts for areas impacted by the 2024 fires and floods. He also explained the significance of the Village airport’s Part 139 certification and the steps being taken to retain it for future facility and service upgrades.

  • Police Chief Steve Minner provided a report on last week’s police activity, including a suspicious person incident that led to misinformation being shared on Facebook. He also addressed the theft of baseball equipment from the high school and vandalism of photos on the backside of the bleachers.
