• Ali Rye, State Director of the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management – Discussed the state’s response to recent fires and flooding, noting that 17 families remain in area hotels while others have secured long-term housing with Red Cross assistance. She also addressed how the federal government shutdown is impacting DHSEM operations.
• Matthew Baird, Parks & Recreation Director, and David “TBone” Tetreault, Assistant Parks & Recreation Director – Recapped the success of the Toss No Mas cleanup event and shared the upcoming schedule for installing the Village’s Christmas decorations.
• Tim Duckworth, Executive Director of Ruidoso Midtown Association – Promoted the Midtown Halloween Trick or Treat event happening October 29 and discussed how local businesses are faring following the Labor Day holiday period.
• Eddie Ryan, Director of Events & Strategic Partnerships – Shared highlights from his recent trip to Italy, where he represented the Village of Ruidoso during the official handover ceremony for the XTERRA World Championship trophy, marking Ruidoso as the next host location.
• Police Chief Steve Minner – Provided updates on recent police activities, including efforts to address a rise in break-ins and incidents of graffiti around the Village.
