  • Eric Queller, Emergency Manager – discussed the end of the monsoon season and what is forecasted for the upcoming winter.

  • Fire Chief Cade Hall and Assistant Fire Chief Austin Meuli – addressed a recent fire in Ruidoso Downs and shared how the department and Village might lower the ISO rating.

  • Adam Sanchez, Public Works Director – provided updates on several road repair and water projects, including work in the Innsbrook and Black Forrest areas.

  • Matthew Baird, Parks & Recreation Director; David “TBone” Tetreault, Assistant Parks & Recreation Director; and Chris Camacho, Events Supervisor – talked about painting fire hydrants on Mechem and Sudderth with a group from Holloman, and Matthew noted challenges in securing two new disc golf course locations.

  • Logan Fleharty, Scorpion Tattoos – previewed the upcoming Comic Con event at the Ruidoso Convention Center scheduled for the weekend of October 18.

  • Police Chief Steve Minner – reported on recent police activity, including two Saturday night fights, and discussed expectations for traffic during the AspenFest parade this weekend.
