  • Terry Yarborough, Water Production, Village of Ruidoso, and Gabe Chavez, Water Production, Village of Ruidoso, discussed operations at the Water Treatment Plant and provided an overview of the Village’s water system and infrastructure.

  • Levi Beaty, Public Works Director, shared an update on the 603 Mechem housing project, noting that gravel road work is expected to begin shortly, with landscaping anticipated in early spring.

  • Fire Chief Cade Hall addressed a recent chimney fire and reminded residents of the importance of having chimneys inspected during the winter season.

  • Michael Martinez, Deputy Village Manager, highlighted upcoming projects and investments in the Village, including housing initiatives, airport upgrades, and the development of a new green waste facility.

  • Eddie Ryan, Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships, discussed the potential for a high-altitude training center in the Village and announced that a docuseries on recent fires and floods has drawn broadcast interest from HGTV and The Weather Channel.

  • Robin DeMott from ENMU-Ruidoso announced that the campus received a $75,000 Metallica Scholar grant to support student scholarships.

  • Matthew Baird, Assistant Parks & Recreation Director, spoke about the success of Saturday night’s Christmas movie and drone show event.

  • Police Chief Steve Minner talked about the Shop with a Cop event held Saturday morning, which benefited 12–15 children with a Christmas shopping experience and related activities.
